AT&T: HTC Aria Getting Android 2.2 (Froyo) Tomorrow

Via Facebook, AT&T has made its second major Android operating system update announcement in as many days. The subject of today’s post: the HTC Aria. AT&T has informed its friends that an Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for HTC’s mid-level Aria handset will be ready for public consumption beginning tomorrow. Ma’ Bell is asking eager Aria owners to hit up the company’s Facebook page tomorrow for download instructions.

LG Optimus Pad presales start March 15 in Japan

LG Electronics has issued a press release announcing that pre-sales for the Optimus Pad (check out our hands-on) will begin on March 15 for NTT DOCOMO customers in Japan.  The tablet has been customized for the Japanese market, with applications like BeeTV for mobile video entertainment and the 2Dfacto app for viewing eBooks and comics.

The Mobile World Congress saw keynotes by some of the industry’s big players. Take for example, Eric Schmidt of Google. Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Update Rolling Out To The Nexus S And Nexus One

Here is a bit of good news for Nexus S and Nexus One owners – the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update has officially started rolling out. The Twitter account, GoogleNexus, tweeted a few minutes ago that the update had started. Here is what was stated:

Gingerbread (Android 2.3.3) update now rolling out to Nexus S and Nexus One. Be patient, may take a few weeks for OTA to complete.
